The Sydney Film Festival showcases the world’s best new films over 12 nights of premieres and parties.

We were brought on by For the People to create a TVC for the 2020 festival, bringing their icon designs – Inspired by vintage cinema advertisement and logos, to life through motion.

Our brief was to make reference to the clunky, awkward animations of those vintage logos and bring them into a modern setting. The result speaks clearly to both the seasoned Festival regulars, and a fresh new audience set to experience it for the very first time.
